Facilitating Effective Communication
When you are facing a problem with another person, one of the most critical components is being able to communicate effectively with the other party. In an ideal world, you might be able to do this on your own. The reality is that it is often beneficial to work with an objective third party who can facilitate that communication.
At Gnys Law Associates, LLC, that is what we do. Our lead lawyer — Edward Gnys — has nearly 20 years of experience serving as an arbitrator and mediator. He is on the list of people who are frequently mutually selected for giving both parties a fair shake. We represent clients throughout Rhode Island. Fair, Impartial and Experienced
Early in his career, attorney Edward Gnys was appointed to the Superior Court's arbitration program. He was one of the youngest attorneys appointed to the position. Even at that point in his career, he already had significant trial experience.
Since then, he has worked on both sides of cases — representing injured clients and defending insurance companies — and reviewing medical records. He understands the value of a case, and views the big picture objectively.
Ed Gnys works as both an impartial mediator or arbitrator, and as counsel for parties involved in mediation or arbitration.
Statutory Arbitration for Motor Vehicle Accidents
In Rhode Island, claims involving less than $25,000 are handled in statutory arbitration. This elective and non-binding arbitration offers clients an opportunity to file a claim before filing a suit. We handle these types of non-binding arbitrations, as well other types of binding arbitrations and mediations, offering a private and confidential place to resolve matters.
Attorney Edward Gnys is frequently selected as the third and neutral arbitrator in three panel arbitrations. In these situations, each party choses an arbitrator, and the two arbitrators then choose a third arbitrator. He often serves as the neutral party, helping facilitate communication between everyone.
Contact our firm online or call 401-438-3800 to schedule your free initial consultation with an experienced arbitrator. We help clients effectively resolve problems in a manner that is less time consuming and less expensive.
